De voorgevel van het gebouw van Drukkerij Vrijdag wordt versierd met een zeer fraai monumentaal keramiek, naar ik meen van kunstenaar Hugo Brouwer, schilder, glazenier enz. Ik herinner me een enorme brand van drukkerij Vrijdag die voorheen op het Eindje zat. Is direct na die brand deze fabriek gebouwd of de huidige fabriek direct na de brand uit mijn herinnering?

Drukkerij Vrijdag zat voorheen niet op het Eindje maar in de Gagelstraat, op nr. 2.

Het adres was inderdaad Gagelstraat 2 maar Vrijdag adverteerde zelf ook met als adres: het Eindje.

Will, ik moet iets beter mijn eigen teksten nalezen. Friga (Vrijdag & Co 4013) en VDE (Vrijdag Drukkerij Eindhoven) bij beiden was Louis betrokken.
Vraag aan Jan van der Meulen: kan de brand tussen 1910 (foto 1368) en 1937 (foto 12423) geweest zijn?

Een broer van mij heeft via het leerlingenstelsel enige jaren bij Vrijdag gewerkt. Is tijdens het stoeien met collega's ooit in de bronskuil voor sigarenbandjes gevallen. Hij was nog mooier dan het H.Hartbeeld op de paterskerk
